we got the news today that he has been expelled and will not be returning to the program. i am honestly so relieved that we saw this through together and justice was served for those dogs. thank you for standing by me while we pushed for this outcome.

We the undersigned, as advocates for Italian Greyhounds and humane treatment for all animals, strongly condemn the actions of Andrew Thompson of Okemos, Michigan, who has admitted to killing 13 Italian Greyhounds since September 2010. Italian Greyhounds were bred to be small, loving companion dogs and their senseless deaths leave us distressed and heartsick with thoughts of their suffering.
We ask that Michigan State University refuse to reinstate Mr. Thompson on the grounds that a student capable of this behavior is unsuited to a future career as a doctor, charged with care and compassion for human patients.
We ask the Ingham County prosecutor to pursue all legal avenues to ensure that Mr. Thompson is never permitted another opportunity to harm a companion animal , and that he faces the maximum punishment afforded by law for his crimes.
We ask those with authority for justice to be served in the name of 13 dead Italian Greyhounds who did not have voices of their own. Thank you for your consideration and assistance.

How is he not in jail yet? people like this just escalate. he needs to be stopped now before he hurts someone else.
My heart is literally breaking for these poor babies. This man needs help but he definitely should not be a doctor.
What a monster. keep him away from any animals or people for the rest of his life.
THIRTEEN DOGS??? lock him up and throw away the key. he is clearly dangerous to society.
this guy is a total psychopath how could anyone do that to such sweet little dogs he should never be allowed near people in a medical setting
