As I watch about his senseless murder on 48 hrs I stop to think what has this world come to. He sounds like he was an awesome person. RIP

I am profoundly sad for the Morrow family. This very dangerous young man is another casualty in this senseless murder. I watched the First 48 Episode about this murder; however, I do not know anything of his upbringing. I do, however know the area in Dallas that the convicted murderer lived in. It's one of despair, extreme violence and a breeding ground of criminal antisocial behavior. I must be honest, I too am the victim of an attempted murder, and the murder of my cousin. The shooter in my case was subsequently killed when he attempted to murder the police officers who went to apprehend him. It left me feeling very empty, never truly having a sense of closure. Despite this, I cannot in good moral conscience support a 40 year prison sentence for any teen involved in this crime. That is not to say that I do not support life without parole, nor do I stand opposed to the death penalty in the right circumstances. I just cannot justify throwing a 19 year old in prison for 40 years, where they are treated like livestock in our penal system, Great Brittan has life sentences, but their life in prison comes with a specific date of release, 18 years for this type of murder, and 21 years for more premeditated murders. I do not believe this young man was out to kill someone that night, but rather very recklessly and with the clear knowledge that the firearm could take a life, reacted to the events he had not truly thought out and that was a victim fighting back. Whereas it may be brave to do so, it is also very very foolish when facing an armed robber without an equal or superior weapon. I know all too well what it is like to face down the barrel of a gun, both in my years as a US Navy Special Operations member and a victim of an attempted murder. I pray for the healing of the Morrow family, and for the healing of this young man's conscience and soul. But building more supermax prisons in which to lock up tens of thousands for the rest of their earthy lives i

I suggest you watch this. What happened was truly tragic, my heart and prayers go out to everyone who was effected. But please don't lie about something you obviously have no idea about.
Justin Jones knows what he did was wrong, you can see that he truly does feel bad about it. It does not excuse what happened, and it doesn't suggest that he deserves any sympathy from anyone, but let's keep the facts accurate none the less.

The true definition of the word "hero". It makes me sick to my stomach that such a good person and productive member of society has been sacrificed for such an awful one who contributes nothing but evil. Rest In Peace, Donald.

I was watching After the First 48 tonight. I was shocked to see the dumbest boy in America, Justin Jones. Iv'e never seen someone look so stupid! Only a person with no heart or sole and sit like he did nothing wrong. I couldn't believe he tried to represent himself and had no remorse with that smirk on his face. I was sick to my stomach listening to him.
I'm so sorry Mr. and Mrs. Morrow. I felt so bad for the both of you. I know you would rather see him dead, but death is for the good. To me, death is too easy, he will suffer on earth. Believe me when I say, he will pay in prison. I'm quite sure he will be denied parole in 30 years, I just feel it. He will feel the wrath, he will continue to suffer when he dies as well. I know it will not bring Donald back, but I do know he is your guardian angel above. He's walking with the lord, I know he is very happy. May your pain lessen as each day passes. Many blessings to both of you in this New Year.
