Time and time again I hear of more and more cases similar to the Brock Turner one in which he raped a young girl behind a dumpster and only got 3 months of jail time because the judge thought more time would have "ruined" Brock's reputation within his community and collage. He was a swimmer as well and that was part of the reason the judge gave him such a light sentence. As he sentenced him to 3 months max, I wonder if he thought of how Brock ruined the young girls life by raping her that night. How, after 3 months Brock will move on and forget anything even happened but that she will have to live with this the rest of her life and constantly wonder if she'll ever be able to move on from it. I am tired of these young men getting a 'smack on the hand' for ruining a girls life. They are old enough to know right from wrong. It is not right and it is not justice. Help me reach my goal and raise awareness to stop violence against women.
