I work with special needs kids. I have been spat on, kicked and punched by my students. Yet never EVER can I image harming any of them willfully. This person needs be fired and charges pressed before they harm again.

As a mother of a daughter with Down Syndrome, I find the assault itself horrifying, and the fact that the school did not call the police immediately a cover up. Had it been a child who could verbalize the assault and tell their parents as soon as they got out of school, I am absolutely certain the school would have handled it differently to cover their butts, but as the child was not verbal, there was a slight chance they could keep this quiet. As for the Attorney choosing not to seek criminal charges, he is the shame of his profession. Since when do assault charges not get filed when an assault has been committed. Whether or not there are injuries visible on the victim, the emotional trauma is still a valid reason to prosecute.

Criminal charges SHOULD be brought against the 'professional' that was assigned to help William. This wouldn't be an issue if it was a regularly functioning child and a teacher. Just because William was blessed with an additional chromosome, doesn't mean that he doesn't count. Get your act together, Harris County D.A.!!!

Spring Branch ISD, funded by tax dollars, is obstructing justice by withholding video of the attack. A child HAS BEEN HARMED, Harris County DA - do you job, father actual facts and evidence, and prosecute this after releasing the video to CPS. Remove this child abuser from contact with children!

Anyone failing to take action on this matter simply because this young man cannot speak up for himself is a disgrace to the human race. No injury can be proven? The boy is cognitively impaired! Can you prove no injury occurred? Can you prove that he did not suffer a concussion? The prosecutor is simply doing what is typical for their species. Vigorously defending only those with political capital & phoning it in on all other matters. Despicable.
