this wouldn't have been swept under the rug for any "typical child"! My son is blind and non-verbal! I can only hope the hall ways have cameras in my sons! He wouldn't have any way of telling me anything!

this is absolutely sickening. If this had been a black or Hispanic child there would be people beating down the doors crying racism. Our special needs children and adults are the only "class" of human being who can be treated like a third class citizen and its ok. Even in the classroom - separate but equal - let them go to school but keep them in that class. As a parent of a child with special needs this has to stop!! Someone stand up and do the right thing.

this is absolutely sickening. If this had been a black or Hispanic child there would be people beating down the doors crying racism. Our special needs children and adults are the only "class" of human being who can be treated like a third class citizen and its ok. Even in the classroom - separate but equal - let them go to school but keep them in that class. As a parent of a child with special needs this has to stop!! Someone stand up and do the right thing.

My son Alex is 21, he has Down Syndrome and he attended Wilchester Elementary. The teacher aid who attacked William needs to be prosecuted in order to avoid her to be free to work with other children. The School Principal, the District Police Department and the Spring Branch School District need to be accountable as well. It makes me sick knowing that they knew this happened and did nothing about it. By law, we are suppose to notify about Child Abuse to CPS as soon as possible. The District needs to release the video. I am sorry this happened to William, but I am sure, it is happening more often than we know. We leave our children in the hands of professionals who are suppose to teach them, guide them and protect them! Has this been notify to the TEA?
