I respectfully request cameras in the courtroom for the Daybell trial. The family of the deceased and their supporters deserve this consideration. Thank you.

As a living victim (my grandfather was murdered) being able to sit in court and watch the judification process brought great closure. These family members and all people who care about the deceased have that same right. Technology advancements allow streaming of court procedures allows transparency and accountability the main Reason I sign this petition is for those relatives who cannot sit publicly throughout a trial there were times during our families case this advancement would have been a gift.

The text right beside the graphic of a hand and chalk and Petition on the chalk board would have been exactly what I wanted to say had it not been said already!

It is unfair to families of victims who cannot afford to take a leave of absence from work, or temporary housing and food to attend a trial that will be providing the closest thing to closure they can get at this point. Preliminary hearings are one thing, but once the jury has been empaneled and the trial is taking place, then that is an infringement on the public’s right to know, especially the family of victims.

For the sake of the family, if not for victims- The least the courts can do is to make this easier for those who need to gain closure and see this play out. Allow those kids to finally rest in peace. Cameras in the courtroom is the only thing that makes sense. This case is already international. Not allowing cameras is like putting a bandaid on a bullet wound.

I do believe cameras should be allowed in the courtroom during trial. Why should we be penalized for Lori being a camera hog? Her attorneys should instruct her how to behave.

Please allow cameras for family, friends and those who care about the victims. We live too far and can not attend in person. Cameras will give us an opportunity to be present.
