It is truly appalling to me that alcohol could ever be considered a defense in a case such as this. Is there any amount of drinking that could drive you to assault any other person, let alone your child? Due to the perseverance of their mom and their own bravery, these kids may be safe from interacting with this monster -- what about other children? Other people in general? What a disgusting precedent to set and a horrible lesson to teach victims.

These children deserve better. All children deserve better. This is a frightening prescedent to set for victims everywhere.

This offender absolutely needs to be prosecuted. Declining to prosecute because the offender is using intoxication as an excuse sets an incredibly dangerous precedent and is unacceptable. These children deserve justice and their mother deserves to be able to sleep at night, knowing her children are safe from harm.

I fail to see how this isn’t an admission of guilt. The fact that no charges are being pressed it disgusting.

These children deserve safety and justice for what has been done to them. All future victims deserve protection.
