We want justice for Sohagi Zahan Tonu, 19 year old girl brutally raped and killed in army secured area in comilla cantonment, Bangladesh.

usually when a girl gets raped in countries like Bangladesh, the people LOVE to blame how she was dressed. We should throw this on their face and ask them what was Tonus fault? Has she got raped coz she was wearing a hijab??? They need to stop blaming the girls and start teaching the boys that girls are not sexual products, they are humans. People need to realise the problem is not how the girls dress, the problem is how the guys look at it, how they think, and how they act. Growing up in an Asian family I know how asian parents spend a lot of time talking to their daughters about how they should keep their voice down, how they should keep themselves covered, how they shouldn't talk to guys. But do they ever talk to their sons about how they should treat a girl, how they should behave in front of a girl, and keep their arousal in control?? No they don't, and this is where the problems start. The next biggest issue is how people response to a rape. The girls family feel like their pride has been demolished and so instead of supporting their daughter, sister, wife, nieces, they start to torture their own girl who has already been tortured. And the boys family, they do everything to protect their boy. When in reality it should have been the opposite. And the society.... They start to punish the victim who has already been victimised. Justice overloaded! What can I say! This is why Bangladesh is still a developing country. There have been way too many rapes that didn't see the face of justice. This makes rape a common thing in BD. The criminals thinks it's okay to rape, coz no ones gonna do anything about it. But it's time to to raise your voice,and tell em, NO. NO, ITS NOT OKAY. NO, OUR GIRLS ARE NOT ALONE. NO, WE ARE NOT GONNA IGNORE RAPE ANYMORE. TAKE A STAND. Take a stand, not only for today, or tomorrow, or as long as you can be bothered.
