The job is only partially done, the Hatfields should be permanently barred from anything with the Arabian Horse Association. The rest of the job is so simple that it is beyond belief that it was not done. Quarter Horses are NOT Arabians! Under NO circustances should a QH hold a title in any ARABIAN show! If you people at AHA can't do YOUR job, resign and lets put someone in there that can and will!

AHA is in violation of their 501c(3) status, as their mission statement succinctly states they "preservation of the integrity of the breed;" Their 501c(3) status should be investigated!

I am gobsmacked. I can't believe AHA would allow the owner to keep awards won by horses with no Arabian blood.

bottom line these horses are QH's no if ands or buts, and regardless if the pervious owner was unaware of that the awards need to be taken away and given to the HA's that deserve them. It is up to the unaware owner to go after the persons that sold the horses to him legally. Especially since he is listed as the owner on AQHA of the horses and has since sold them, according to AQHA records.

Really? Seriously? They're not Arabians, they're not Half Arabians, therefore they should not hold any Arabian or Half Arabian titles. Period!

Properly apply GR117 to this matter. Disqualified is disqualified. If they're disqualified for the Hatfields, they're disqualified for Grove, regardless of innocence or guilt. Anyone else, you'd be yanking titles.

As an owner of a part bred Arabian, when she was originally registered as IAHA she had to be DNA 'd to prove Arabian bloodlines. So why are we still not doing this?????

Regardless of who knew what and when, Quarter horses should never be allowed to maintain Arabian horse titles.

All titles should be rescended and redistributed to the rightful owners. A horse of another breed should never be allowed to hold a title from an AHA event.

To restore the validity and faith of the Half Arabuan breed, full reserval and all privileges denied is necessary. The whole situation needs to be put right regardless who is affected!

Within this past week, the AHA administration and Board has officially approved two AQHA-registered QHs with no Arabian blood, therefore being ineligible to compete, of holding regional and national Arabian show titles. To the members, those who breed and show half-Arabians, this ruling is unacceptable. The AHA must de-list the two horses in the AHA Registry, require all owners to return the illegally gotten winnings and titles to AHA, and then award all to the rightful ARABIAN horses and their owners (with appropriate fanfare). In line with USEF rulings, the trainers (Ulmers) and owners (Groves) of the said illegally shown QHs, should be sanctioned by AHA, as well as the Hatfields. Only then will the members have faith that the organization is moral, ethical and competent enough to be Arabian Horse Association. To ensure this type of forgery never happens in the future, all new half-Arab registrations and half-Arabs who are showing or breeding must be DNA'ed within the year.
