This petition is seeking justice for "Tempe Ten" by demanding the termination of Officer Trow and Hill of the Tempe AZ Police Department. The Tempe Ten references at least 10 cases which Officer Trow and Officer Hill of the Tempe Police Department intentionally and knowing botched. Cases include Murders, Aggravated Assault, Death of an Infant, Robberies, Rape and Suicide. Over 8 years Officer Trow neglected to write reports, follow up on leads and arrest identified suspects. Officer Trow took vital evidence from these cases home and stored the evidence in his GARAGE. Examples of his abuse are 1) Trow never turned in the rape kit of a 17 year old victim 2) Trow received leads from Phoenix PD related to a murder weapon and he "just threw it in a case file and did nothing with it”. Since this evidence was stored in his GARAGE and not in a secure location, much of this evidence is no longer viable. Which means many of these cases may never be solved! Officer Trow has admitted he knew his actions would harm possible prosecution! Officer Hill was Trow’s supervisor and obviously failed to supervise. Remember these cases go back 8 years and Officer Hill was aware! Officer Trow even lied to families ensuring them that he is still working their case while vital evidence was in his GARAGE! Tempe police investigated and recommended these officers be terminated. However Chief Ryff of Tempe Police overturned the decision and imposed a mere 160 hour suspension (80 of which were vacation). Chief Ryff, Officer Trow and Officer Hill decided these 10 cases did not deserve justice. All of these officers have retained employment. This is criminal, storing evidence in your GARAGE?! Not writing reports for yearsNot turning in rape kits?!These officers are not fit to protect and serve the public. Please sign this petition and let the City of Tempe know that these officers should be fired immediately!.
