It is a shame that we look to the police and government to give us guidance, assurance and justice they are the ones who have captivated us. They dont give a damn about us. It didn't start with Tanaya Copeland and it will not end with her. We want justice when their is a tragedy happening, well it's a tragedy everyday they keep beating our women. They are killing our sons and men and blatantly telling us they don't give damn by not even attempting to give a damn.! And you know why they get away with it because we are to uneducated to stop them! I an not talking about education book wise I am talking about our history. They have kept us in the dark for so long that we are comfortable now. I am personally TIRED of our people being killed, beaten, threaten and hauled off to jail and concentration camps. We need to educate ourself Knowledge is Power and there is movement in numbers. Education is the first step http://toniciajackson.blogspot.com/. We are prisoners of war and Tanaya Copeland, Travon Martin, Jordan Davis, Jonathan Ferrell, Antwoyn Johnson and the list goes on will never get the justice they deserve if we do not stand up to fight. Learn your history take steps to make changes I promise you the more we start to learn the more frightened they will become. Everything you "think" you know now you don't have any idea. The Hate is Real and its DEEP! #JusticeForTanaya #HiddenColors #JusticeForAllOurChildren

I have to agree. What's sad is that if the tradegy against the kids did not happen, Tanaya's murder would probably be mentioned that one time and that's it. Tanaya was still a baby @ only 18 years of age. The city made a huge mistake by letting a monster out like that, knowing he is a danger to society. #NYPD&theJusticeSystemWakeTheFuckUp #TanayaWillNeverBeForgotten

yes, and the homeless man was actually before her. its a camera outside the train station it happened it, that shows him leaving there. apparantly his incident was swept under the rug too. if taken serious, we might still have Tanaya now.

We need the NYPD to investigate this case the same way they investigated the other case in East NY with those two little children. Ms. Copeland was loved and belonged to someone. Chief Nelson please give this your upmost attention. I know you can do it.

NYPD do your job. If it was one of your own there would be no question about it. It shouldn't matter the money or time that'll be invested it should be about keeping Brooklyn safe. NYPD is there to "protect and serve" but instead of serving we have to beg them to do their job.

The fact that if it was one of NYPD's kids they would've moved mountains to find the killer. Y'all see how much the people that's supposed to protect us give a fuck about what happens to any of us. Its been a month now they going cold case on us. Naaaa bump that we need some answers her family and friends needs some type of closure. I'm sorry the cops ain't letting this one go cold we as people who continue to live in Brooklyn or NY period who have friends & family members to worry about need to step up and end this neglect towards this terrible crime!!
