I had the pleasure of having a class with Steven last year, and he has since been an inspiration to me as to how to be the best student I possibly can. He is a hardworker and is always ready to help others when needed, a perfect model student and a great fit for a graduation speaker. Taking away his speech is not only putting to waste the many hours he likely spent writing it but also throwing away the time he spent working hard in and out of the classroom to earn that position. Steven is a great kid and I very much look forward to hearing his graduation speech.

steven is one of the absolutely best people i know, he wouldn’t hurt anyone, and has worked his butt off to get where he is. his speech is amazing, and it deserves to be heard!!

Steven is one of the best guys I know. Anyone in the grade will attest to the fact that he's a great friend, leader, and student, not to mention a top scholar. He earned everything he has, including admission to a prestigious university as well as the right to speak at graduation. To deprive the hundreds of graduating students and their families from what would have been their very last Pennsbury memory, a funny yet inspirational speech from someone who they all look up to and respect, is inconsiderate to everyone affected, far beyond just the one student who would suffer from the overly strict punishment.
