There is no excuse for these kinds of actions. There is no, "mistake" here. There is no "I forgot." There is no reason for anybody to forget a child. And excusing these actions is just opening the doors for more and more "accidents'" to occur.

This beautiful child should still be here, but is not due to the gross negligence of someone whose care she was entrusted. The woman who did this needs a harsher penalty. Nothing will bring this beautiful angel back, but the person responsible needs more than a slap on the wrist.

There is definitely more to this story! Sounds like she got rid of the child on purpose! You don't forget a child in the car! I'm a mother and NEVER did I forget my son in the back!!! This woman was nothing more than jealous of this child. How did anyone not see or hear the child??? I heard speculation she may have already been dead. This woman needs to get the highest punishment possible by law!

I still feel very sadly about young Samaria. I try to see if anything gets updated but unfortunately I have not seen any changes. I recently came across this petition to have harsher punishment given to Borgess. I agree that she needs to feel the pain of this every day the way Samaria's mother will.
I'm signing for Samaria. I will not forget her story and do my best to remind others of her in hopes that her story may save a young life. Use Borgess as an example. That reckless thoughtless behavior cannot be tolerated in our community.
