I think it is a very sad and disgusting thing that this man is still walking free, when all the evidence is known that it was not self defense against Preston Patton. Where's the justice Preston deserves? Does the court system not realize he has a family and a town full of loved ones? What if this was your son that this was happening to?

I am amazed at our judicial system. What rights do our victims and their famlies have? It deeply saddens me that this man committed 1st degree murder. A horrible crime to his own son. He did not have to kill him. I am sorry that his family and friends have to deal with such hurt...and now to add to the grief. He should never have been given any freedom. If our courts are wanting him to work then make him earn his keep. Our area needs cleaned up...picking trash up on the side of the road for starters. Why feed these animals 3 meals a day? Why give them beds to sleep in? We give these worthless low lives 3 meals a day, air conditioning/heating, and a roof over there heads. What did the victims get? Well Preston's new baby boy will never meet his daddy. This is just too sad....justice for this young man and his family.

After his release Jeff Patton phoned to say that "he did the world a favor", so this man is walking around remorseless and thinking he's above the law, for sure.... so scary, we must stand against injustice!!!

It is with a sad heart that I say this evilness does run in Jeff Patton's family as his uncle was a cold blooded murderer as well. Jeff's parents were good people as they are my family and i remember them well. Jeff needs locked up and thrown away the key for what he has done. None should ever ham another person unless in self defense and never your own child for any reason. Please lock Jeff up and keep the streets safe.

This family deserves true justice and he should not be in our community! Especially since he's on house arrest, why is he being able to go out to work, eat, or anything ! I knew a person who got house arrest for a much smaller crime and couldn't even walk to her apartment mailbox or the authorities would call !? Seriously murder?

I have many family members that live in or visit Parsons and I do not feel at peace for their saftey with the release of a murderer back into the community!! If a man can shoot and kill his only child, what makes anyone think that he would not take someone elses life that comes across his path? Apparently, a human life has no value to this man! Please take the necessary action to keep the people of Parsons and surrounding communities safe from this danger!
