Dear Friends, The election commision of Pakistan has put a bar on people holding dual nationalities from contesting elections. This decision is to come in force in March 2012. Currently there is a private bill in the national assembly of Pakistan to stop dual nationals from having jobs in the civil service. We the undersigned agree that this is grave injustice against dual nationals. We urge the Election Comission and Pakistan Government to re consider the decision. Dual Nationals contribute millions to the Pakistan economy, social projects and to the welfare of the country. The governmemt and election comission needs recognise this contribution and investment and treat dual nationals fairly. If we dont act today more of our rights will be eroded.
