I am getting sick and tired of men raping woman because they think its there god given right to do so and then to get away with is disgusting. 8 years is no time time at all. I lost my best friend to suicide because a horrid man felt the need to rape her at knife point she never got over it and ten years later it killed her. We need to make the laws against rape harder because god forbid i have to live my life without my best friend of 25 year's and it hurts so much . I lived the tidal wave of her rape her ups and her downs for 12 year's while he walked around without a care in the world. Please make rape charges and sentences longer like life in imprisonment. Thats all they deserve.

It is completely mind boggling to me how this disgraceful human being got such a small sentence for basically intending to kill the woman and in the most brutal of ways. It's sickening that he will be free to walk the streets again in Such a short time, what was the judge thinking?! This woman has to live through her whole life always remembering that unspeakable pain and horror he put her threw and now such a short time after the crime she will have to fear for her life again when he is released. Who's to say he isn't planning to finish what he started? Once you become institutionalised you don't care if you end up back in jail as that is your home where you have friends, a routine and all you have known anyway. Which makes this man ten times more dangerous than before. And god help any woman in his path if he decides to have another relationship. This is a nightmare waiting to happen.

Iam astounded at such a lenient sentence. Where was the charge for kidnapping deprivation of liberty attempted murder and whatever else could be thrown at him .
