Absolutely disgusting. This man deserves to be punished for much longer than eight years, let alone the fact he may be released in three years which is so ridiculous. The beautiful and strong lady who survived this tortour deserves justice!

Sorry to say but I don't want the grub in our society he deserves life for what he sis to nakita and the police for all the trauma. He tried to take her life it should have been attempted murder and he should have gotten life.

Something needs to be done within the "justice" system. The police members are doing their jobs but the system is letting them down as well as us as a community. How can we be told to "leave it in the hands of the judicial system" when time and time again disgraceful, disrespectful, unfair, frightening decisions are being made by the "justice" system leaving us all vulnerable and the police work even harder. There is no faith in the system at present, something has to change!!!!

Sad thing is we shouldn't have to sign a petition, what this girl went through deserves more then a lousy 3 years, it makes me sick to my stomache, I have a 22 year old daughter myself and this must be horrifying for her parents, he needs to be tortured and left to rot,

The sentence he received is a complete travesty. He is obviously a psychopath to be able to be so meticulous in his method of torture, no one capable of such a despicable act should be permitted to be with the rest of humanity.
