Imagine doing what you do best working hard to get where you need to be in life . And going to work that day not knowing it could change your life forever. Nobody knows how that effected that man in many different ways . Very kind hearted with no lack of bad intentions and for it all to be thrown away . Not only have y’all took his role as being a teacher y’all also are trying to take his freedom which is indeed not fair to him . I signed this petition to protect an innocent man from getting his life thrown away based off a kid who was skipping that day what if he took his attendance already and left out to handle something pertaining the kids . I don’t feel like people are being fair about this

He should not have to put his life away for something he had nothing to do with not only is a teacher is a dad and husband and his family need him they should have to be away from him for 15years that bold because he had nothing to do with that Rest In Peace to the young man that passed away. But the teacher shouldn’t have to lock his life away

Being a high school teacher ESPECIALLY in DPS is not an easy job. Mr. Sigler was a great instructor to his students. They are punishing the kind of teachers we need in our district... That’s not right. And the ones who really should be getting punished don’t?
The district is to blame if anything, they need to work on bringing in more teachers to help prevent these kinds of situations THE DISTRICT NEEDS TO DO BETTER whether it be hire in teacher assistants or WHATEVER. Mr. Sigler isnt to blame here.

That man taught me how to swim he wouldn’t hurt no body he makes sure everyone is safe he was probably in the shower room making sure the ppl that where assigned to that class wasn’t horse playing .they are trying to punish him for a crime his didn’t commit first of all the boy wasn’t assigned to that class he was skipping he was ether horse playing or getting bullied how hid the boy his responsibility when he wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place

This is so unfair. Sigler did everything he could for that kid and shouldn’t be going to jail. He’s such a caring person he cares about every single student he has ever had. Such a nice teacher with a big heart. This breaks my heart because he don’t deserves this.

Mr.Sigler was not the type of person to just let a kid drown. He was such a good person and I am so sorry he have to go through this. I am very hurt for the decision that has been based upon him and not only that he is looked at as the bad guy for something that he couldn’t control he did everything in his power to help . Come on guys y’all have to do better !!!!!!

He’s always been a great caring teacher , he always done his job as being a Swim instructor. He’s innocent, he tried saving that boy life he tried all he could . Sigler should not be getting blamed for this !!
