I understand change is good especially in a small community like what we got but if you ask me i think the city is taking everything old and replacing it with new like itll make a difference .... by removing buildings that have been there for years your taking away what makes mcfarland each bulding has some meaning and i think a parking lot isnt nessceary thay tire shop has been there since i was little girl probably even longer than that.

My family is from McFarland and I have used the tire shop when I've been out there...i think a tire shop is needed more than a parking lot....

Either give him a fair price or let him keep his shop there. I grew up in Mcfarland and no longer live there but I'm glad that the tire shop has stayed in business all these years

Many of times has this man helped me out EARLY in the morning; One of the few businesses opened to help early risers, it would be a loss to us all:( I hope the city of Mc Farland gives this business man what he deserves!

Sounds fishy to want a parking lot over a local business if you ask me. Local businesses improve the local economy.
When we buy from a local business, more of that money stays in the community. In fact, for every $100 spent at a local business, $68 remained in the city while only $43 of each $100 spent at a chain retailer or $0 if they want a parking lot. Seriously!!! Whats really going on? Buying locally has benefits beyond mere convenience. When you support local business owners, you get a better level of service, as well as helping make the community a better place to live. Someone has a hidden agenda and isn't telling the entire story. It just doesn't make sense.
