McFarland Tire represents the American Dream. It serves as a great example for many first generation immigrants, minorities and others that with hard work and dedication, one could be successful in this country. It would be a shame to take away a family's life long work only to convert into an empty parking lot.
Please reconsider. Do the right thing.

This is another example of how idiotic a municipal government can be. Instead of helping small businesses grow and create jobs they think of ways to kill jobs and senselessly spend tax payer money. There should also be a petition started to overthrow the McFarland city government officials that are unwisely running the town to the ground.

I have done business with McFarland Tire Shop. I actually drive up from Bakersfield to do business with Mr Ballesteros. He is a fair hard working member of McFarland business. Please treat him fairly.

Shame on the city of McFarland for trying to drive out a local business that has done nothing but support the local economy for the last 20 years. Don't let them fool you. They will low ball the property value so they can buy it cheap (city parking lot, yeah right) in order to sell high to a retail chain and reap the profits.
