BE - We (Joel and Max) are filing an ethics complaint against the Masters of Harmony for their role in allowing a pedophile to prey on us for years, and their subsequent inaction and passing of blame. As much as we all may love and respect the Masters of Harmony, their chapter leadership has given no sign that they are taking this seriously, or ever have. Max and Joel deserve their due process. Investigate their claims, let the truth come out, and take corrective action.
As a childhood victim of a neighbor, I fully understand and agree that this should never happen again in our hobby. It's hard enough to bring in youth to sustain this hobby for future generations. We do not need a reputation for sweeping things like this under the rug.
I love our art form, and I hate that participation in it left you with the emotional trauma of sexual abuse. I stand with you.
I am in full support of Joel and Max having faced the malice and rude, insolent behaviors of the very hierarchy in this singing group that allowed a pedophile to remain a member for 20 years and prey on young boys.
Please look into this situation. I am sure the chorus in general are all good people but it only takes a few to ruin lives. Please listen to Max and Joel's heartfelt concerns (who would want to put themselves out there like that if their perceptions were not valid).
The behavior of the MoH is thoroughly disgusting and there absolutely should be accountability, especially when minors are involved.
Nov 27, 2017 If you are an organization with minors involved, there should be practices in place to protect them.

Having looked over the threads on BE as a random barbershop enthusiast in England, this is so completely unacceptable. Time for MoH to take some responsibility for their actions and to stop this from ever happening to anyone else ever again.
