The family are going through a living hell. They don't need comments suggesting they are to blame. They are in no way to blame.

Not all the facts have been stated!! Would u let your child walk a mile to work in the dark down country roads with no street lamps?

This beautiful girl was so tragically ripped away from her family. It sickens me to see comments on here trying to excuse the driver of speeding, and one comment even suggesting that it was Martha's fault! or her parents for letting her walk! get a grip people!
The driver of the lorry was speeding..I dont care if the speed limit says 60! The lorry is restricted to 40 FOR A REASON! he was speeding. speed in your car and get caught and you face fines, points, sentencing... This man hit a child whilst speeding and got nothing but a slap on the wrist and a 'dont do it again'. DISGUSTING!
If the lorry had not been speeding he may well have still hit her, the tragedy may well still have happened but THEN it would be an awful accident. This was negligence! He was breaking the law and whilst doing so killed Martha!
I dont care if Martha was wearing black, I dont care if the speed limit for CARS is 60. This family have lost thier little girl and are getting no justice for the negligent man who killed her.
JUSTICE FOR MARTHA.
Much love and healing thoughts to you, Karen, and your whole family. Though Martha is gone in body, we can do everything possible to keep her memory and her spirit alive.

Valid point carol. And may I add. This discussion is for all that is for and against. Maybe maybe maybe. Maybe if the young lady was dropped off at the correct bus stop? That poor man will have to wake up with what he saw everyday for the rest of his life. I think that is enough. Had the young lady been dropped off at the correct place she would not have been crossing the road when the truck/lorry was passing?
I wonder if you would feel the same if it was your child Amber ...
Speeding is speeding... If you or I get done speeding we get fined.. If a man speeding kills a child he gets off !?! Where is this fair !!!!!

I wonder,, if the people on here saying it was just an accident ,and dont agree with even a trial, would say the same had it been their child.

Time to stand up and be counted for what is right - if he was breaking the law then I he should be made to come to court and the facts should be heard for a jury to make a choice.
