Been served by him many times and he has always been a very polite friendly man. I am disgusted with Sainsbury's, such a big company and not what you expect!

I would choose Mark's till too as he was very friendly and helpful and also he reminded me of my aunt who had cerebral palsy and had a lifelong career as a nurse. I'm sorry he is having this difficult time and I hope that Sainsbury's will reconsider their decision.

I have been served by Mark countless times over many years, and always with such courtesy and efficiency that I would often deliberately choose his till. Please reconsider his dismissal.

Sainsbury's managements should be ashamed of themselves sacking someone with a disability. I have always shopped at Sainsbury's however I shall boycott sainsburys if Mark not recruited

My husband and I always enjoy speaking and joking with Mark at the checkout. We frequently choose his till over others. We were also pleased that Sainsburys had chosen to put their faith in Marks ability to work with the public on the till and strongly feel their recent action should be reconsidered.

I have known Mark for approximately 18 years - initially he was a neighbour opposite the Church where I run Brownies, I would see him to smile & wave to when he went out or from his window. He was always very pleasant & courteous.
I later got to know Mark thru his Mother who became I became a work colleague of. He is extremely well mannered, polite and helpful, I cannot imagine that he has offended a customer and strongly feel that this decision should be reviewed. Justice for Mark please !

I have known mark since my school years he is a fantastic man to know. And is always working really hard every day to achieve many things so for this to have happened to mark is so unfair and very wrong. Please take mark back at Sainsbury's

I have shopped at Sainsburys for the last 15 years and often chosen Mark's till of choice, because he's a nice guy. I know about his mum and his sister up north, and his relationships. He has become a smal part of my own life. Not once have I seen him give cause for any offence to me or anyone else. He does have some disability, both physical and social, but he has overcome both those to be a good person, giving exemplary service. He's the only one who knows to stop the belt when my purchases are overtaking my packing. He's the only one who instinctly hands me delicate items rather than bung them on the belt. Simply he's the best person to know how to serve me. Now I can understand that he may, and I only say may, have given the wrong impression to someone who for some wierd reason found reason to complain, but that Sainsburys have decided to sack him on one person's say-so and ignore the years of exemplary service he has given is beyond my understanding. Having worked in customer services myself for many years, I can also admit to having 'lost it' on very rare occasions to utter tossers (and I have no idea of course what allegedly occured here). But on those rare occasions, my years of expertise and great customer loyalty has made those occasions insignificant to my employers. Can Sainsburys say that is true of them?

Mark has worked at Sainsburys for about 20 years. he knows his job. It is highly unlikely he would behave in an inappropriate manner, and if he did, evidence should be provided by the management. This issue smacks of unfair dismissal, and must be addressed.

I am appalled at this decision and I dread to think of the personal consequences to this young man. As the parent of a young person with a disability I have always seen his courage and determination to be independent as inspirational, as a customer I have found him to be courteous and professional and friendly. I am deeply disappointed and consider the decision at best ill judged and compassionless - at worst discriminatory. Please reconsider.

I've lived in New Cross Gate for 20 years and Sainsbury's is my "corner shop" and I am familiar with all the cashiers. Mark was always friendly, polite and good at his job and as far as I'm concerned part of the Sainsbury's family along with Gracie, Bella and all the other great staff. I am absolutely horrified that he has been sacked, seemingly on hearsay evidence about a single transaction.
