Terrible way for a company to behave. Investors In People?? I would beg to differ. How can you dismiss someone with no evidence. This should be investigated properly.

Really sorry to hear that Mark Costelloe has been sacked from Sainsburys New Cross. I do not know him personally but he has served us many times and always found him to be pleasent and profressional

I have known Mark for about 5 years and he's a very pleasant lad with a heart of gold . I have asked my family & friends to boycott not only the New Cross store but all Sainsbury stores in protest at his shocking and unfair dismissal

This clearly warrants further investigation. It sounds as though Mark has not been given a fair trial which is a disgrace based upon his 19 years of loyal service.

So disappointed by Sainsbury's and miss Mark at the check-out. I think this needs to be looked at again.

I have lived in the area for over 20 years and have been served by Mark since he started. He has always been very friendly and it's been a pleasure to be served by someone who makes me feel like a valued customer. Disabilties can be visible and invisible and I believe Mark has been treated very unfairly by Sainsbury's. I hope this gets some press attention as Sainsburys need to know how strongly the customers feel.

I was very saddened to read this. I have always commended Sainsbury's at New Cross for employing staff with disabilities. I too have been served by Mark and have found his Customer Service skills to be good. I hope that management will reconsider. Nineteen years is a long time to be in a job and I can only imagine the detrimental impact to Mark's well being that this must be having
