I find this very disturbing the dogs were still in the yard after that poor dog was mauled by two neighbouring dogs found in the yard after owners returned. Not good enough dogs should have been put down for safety of others.

The process and the Act says that they should be declared dangerous. This means that the owners will have to build a complete enclosure for them . However these dogs did not get out to roam.the streets . They actually got into the neighbors property. So concerns would be held for anyone in the future living next to that property . If the dogs are not desexed then they will have to be desexed, and all the restrictions that go with Dangerous Dog. I would also like council to implement a qualified assessment of such dogs and implement training for the dogs and owners of such dogs with a futher assessment 12 months later if there has been no incident. When dogs live in a confined space . exercise walking and socialization is just so important and I think that a lot of dog owners cannot be bothered. So why have dogs. Council should not have given the dogs back. They actually have 12 months to conclude an investigation, so they should have kept the dogs for longer until they got everyone's statements in writing. Certainly no one can conduct a proper investigation within two days.

It can't be that hard to work out that these dogs killed Kujo. It is a disgrace that they are left with their owners. I am not someone who wants animals put down indiscriminately but if these dogs have shown they are dangerous to other dogs then what about kids and people? I have walked passed these dogs in their property and they were quite aggressive.

Where in this petition does she need to correct the news, there is nothing saying dog was ripped apart. Would you be saying this if it was a child ? It does not matter how the dog was found the facts are the dog was killled in its own yard by 2 dogs that jumped in a fence into a property that was not there own.

This little dog should have been safe in his own yard. These dogs are likely to do this sort of thing again, what if it's a child walking their dog. It's not right council's investigation was hopeless!

It was such a tragedy what happened to poor innocent Kujo, he was a loyal, sweet and harmless dog that was a huge part of the family who loved him deeply, justice needs to be served!

I am concerned for my two small dogs and my daughters. We walk the streets to the park, if we encountered these dogs I would not be able to do anything to stop them from attacking us.

It was so tradgic what happened to poor Kujo, no one else desevese to go through the same pain and sadness Kujos family suffered with the last week, these dogs need to be taken away from an area that’s is family orinated! Let’s not let it be to late to stop these awful dogs from commiting another crule act like this again on a another family loved pet or even a family’s loved one!

Let’s take this further if council don’t do anything, a current affair or something.
Yes I agree
This is terrible on the council's decision
