I am absolutely outraged that this injustice has occurred. That poor boy will live with his injuries for the rest of his life, and she gets off with a suspended sentence. It's disgusting, and I know a lot of people in the town feel the same.

An utter disgrace of a verdict.
To decide to get into a car and drive after getting smacked up should carry a custodial sentence. To get into a car smacked up and drive down the pavement should see that doubled. To get in a car smacked up, drive down a pavement and actually hit someone should see it doubled again. Can't believe that bloody woman walked away from court.
