Please reconsider the verdict. Taking drugs and driving is a serious offence even if there was no accident! There is absolutely no excuse for driving whilst drugged up.

I think that people need to serve there time if they carry out a crime. They know that they should not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Time spent in jail will reflect on their wrong actions! I am proud of Josh for the way in which he has dealt with this matter well done Josh.

It's time for the authorities to deal with drug associated people in our community especially when they cause harm to innocent people.

I feel disgusted that Julie Wilson has got away without a custodial sentence. This young man has suffered significant injuries and his life is in limbo on the long road to recovery. While she walks around free, what sort of message does this send. Despite her bizarre account of how it all happened, the impact on him is still the same! I wish him well and hope he gets some justice.

When I read in the Cornishman about the sentence handed down, I immediately thought that it was far to linient.
This young man has been through a terrible ordeal, the consequences of which he is still suffering from and scars that are likely to be with him the remainder of his life.
This sentence needs to be reviewed after all, he is the innocent victim in this case.

Justice needs to be done here, I have seen this lady on a number occasion on drugs walking around with kids. We need to set an example, all this has done is basically set the wrong message to drug users that's it's ok to take drugs and drive, this poor lad has suffered and is still suffering.

As a parent, I am trying to bring up my children to always take personal responsibility for their actions and to respect the rules that govern our community and society. This lady showed little regard for anything and anyone, not even her own children when she decided to take a seat behind the wheel of her car. Surely involuntary manslaughter would better describe her actions - she may not have intended to harm, but she did. Allow her to take personal responsibility for her actions. If we don't allow that to happen, then what we are saying is 'our rules don't matter'....which then means what I am trying to teach my children, doesn't matter either.
