This was easily preventable if there were lights and personnel directing traffic. Also do not agree with the "Come late, stay late" policy.

This is something that needs to stop! This is a very dangerous crossing especially early in the morning when it's dark.

The lives of our students are worth the extra money and manpower to improve the conditions of this area surrounding MacArthur Senior High, as well as the 9th grade center. A loss of life is a failure on behalf the City of Houston and a failure to our kids who deserve the same high quality conditions of other schools and districts. Repaint the lines, fix the non-flashing school zone lamps, expand the roads, put up large concrete barriers to shield the sidewalks, hire more personnel to manage crosswalks AFTER 6:30 am, and fix the street lights. If Aldine claims to do whatever is necessary to protect its students, faculty, and staff...this MUST be done. Enough is enough!
Very sad what happen to this kid .
