On September 14, 2013 Jonathon Ferrell was gunned down by a Charlotte Mecklenburg police officer. Mr. Ferrell was injured in a car accident and after kicking the back window out – he ran to seek help. He ran to the home of a woman in order ask for assistance when the woman automatically assumed he was there to rob her. When the police arrived, Randal Kerrick gunned down Mr. Ferrell shooting a total of 12 times with 10 bullets killing Mr. Ferrell.

While we applaud the efforts of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department in charging Randal Kerrick with voluntary manslaughter, we also want the charges to reflect what actually occurred. Randal Kerrick murdered Mr. Ferrell.

12 shots is EXCESSIVE even if Mr. Ferrell was armed but again, Mr. Ferrell was unarmed and injured. Send a message to the District Attorney in Charlotte know that we demand justice and justice requires that Randal Kerrick get more than a slap on the wrist.

Justice requires that Randal Kerrick be charged with murder. DEMAND JUSTICE!
