This accidental euthanasia has to stop. We the people of Hillsborough County and surrounding counties, want to see people at Hillsborough County Animal Services, who accidentally put down a dog or any animal, like JOJO, do so with the understanding that should they participate, they will be held responsible for the act. Double checking and triple checking must be done...it is not an assembly line....checks and balances must be done! Animals are living creatures and must be respected as such! When an animal is mistakenly put down, and has adopters or rescue's pending, putting them down regardless will be punishable by termination and charges of "animal cruelty." What happened to JOJO, a young shepherd yesterday, is horrible and inexcusable. By signing this petition, you want to see those that did this will be punished as they have a general disregard for the animals in their care. You also agree that a review needs to made for the process, as it's obviously not thorough or not properly enforced by management. Thank you for signing.
