All though I don't agree that the dog should be put down because of how an owner has trained him but I do agree that the dog should be taken away from its owner and a ban imposed on that owner never to be aloud to own an animal again, the animal itself should be rehabilitated if possible.

My heart goes out to poor jess and her owners but I also feel sorry for the attacking dog. Unfortunately it may have to be put down due to the way it's irresponsible owners have brought it up. If it had a nasty nature then the owners should have had it on a mussel and harness. I hope justice is served and these horrid people banned from having pets.

I find this whole situation shocking and sad. Poor Jess I feel for her and her family and my sympathy also goes to the other dog who sadly has been raised as nothing but an animal without warmth and love. I agree the owners should be prosecuted and banned from keeping animals. Any animal in our homes should be treated as pets, as part of the family with respect and love. Hopefully there will be justice.

It's clear the dogs behaviour is borne from the owner!! Discusting behaviour from a so called human being, who has no shame or remorse. Remove the dog from that environment and give a life time ban on owner with court case and fine or prison. And he should be made to pay the bills too.

The savage dog was on a lead but when it see Our little Jess it pulled it's owner over and she let go of it!
