As a transman I am appalled at how my trans sister was treated in this entire case. It’s abhorrent that anyone be denied dignity in both life and death. No one should have to advocate for a loved one to be treated as a human being, even if they are no longer with us, to be called by their chosen name and who they fought to be. Even though I didn’t get the opportunity to know Jax, I know she was a light in the lives of everyone she knew, and that she was a shining example of being true to yourself no matter what anyone else thinks.
Rest well, Jax, even though we were strangers, as a trans brother, you were still part of our family. We will continue to fight for you.
