Too many trans people are hurt and discarded. They are human beings that have every right to live as any cis-gendered person. She was murdered. The people responsible need to be prosecuted and punished.

I’m sad, but I’m not surprised that once again the government chooses to treat transgender individuals as second class citizens. This absolutely needs to stop NOW! Not only in Colorado but across the country, especially in those most transphobic states. Though I never knew Jax, she is my sister and as such, what happened to her could happen to me and any other trans woman. Therefore I must speak out! And I uphold her memory and the memory of all of our trans sisters and brothers. Thus I DEMAND an Oversight Task Force be immediately instituted and that the investigation into this tragedy be conducted with the utmost dignity and respect first Jax and her family, and that it be thorough leading to answers and justice for Jax.

Jax deserves justice and a proper investigation! The community deserves to know what happened to one of their own regardless of their identity.
