Hello,
I am writing from Buffalo, NY in support of Jax’s family and friends, who are seeking justice in the mishandling of her homicide case. Jax’s life was not treated as valuable, her identity was not respected, and her dignity was not preserved. The public comments and actions by the involved police force and investigative teams reflected just how ignorant those leading such important systems are. Jax deserves for her name to be said. She deserves those involved in the investigation to acknowledge and respect her identity and her chosen name, just as they would any cisgender individual. Please read my entry from afar in consideration of the love and light we are losing in our communities when our trans humans are targeted with violence. This must be a preventative effort, not just a reactive one.

This is very important. Jax’s investigation requires certain awareness in order to treat her with the dignity she deserves. There are specific sensitivities that cops must be aware of in order to have the full scope of what may have happened to her. I live in New Mexico and have a Trans Son and I’ve been following this since Jax went missing because I related to it and was so worried for her, as I know how very vulnerable our Trans youth are. Please give Jax a fair chance at real justice. Thank You.
