I wholeheartedly support this petition and demand that the Jefferson County Commissioners and Lakewood City Council take immediate action to create a joint oversight task-force to ensure a thorough, transparent, and trauma-informed investigation into Jax Gratton's death. As a trans woman, Jax's life and legacy deserve to be valued and respected, and it's heartbreaking that her family and community have had to fight for basic dignity and care.
The handling of Jax's case by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office and Lakewood Police has been unacceptable, from the delayed release of her body to the deadnaming in the press release. This kind of neglect and disrespect is all too common for trans women, and it's time for our institutions to do better.
I urge the Commissioners and Council members to take concrete steps to address these concerns and ensure that Jax's case is investigated with the care and respect she deserved in life. The proposed task force, including representatives from the trans community, advocates, and legal experts, is a crucial step towards accountability and justice. Let's work together to demand a better future for trans people everywhere.

Trans / LGBTQ humans, single parents, the elderly ,migrants and children are supposed to be the most protected according to GOD.
