My son James, has Down syndrome. M child is suffering due to the so- called justice system. My ex has4 felonies, 6misdemeanors. One of which he was convicted, for wiping feces in his face.This was his way of training James to go to restroom! James was still using pullups@ 7.He's sixteen now and still has to have assistance to wipe. The courts granted custody based on, how he'd behave if taken from the home he'd grown up in. Not once did they think what taking his Mom would do to him! Our custody battle lasted 4 yrs. I went through 2attorneys, one of which was so unprepared, the affidavit of means, she handed me 15 minutes before custody hearing and never received my ex's copy. The next attorney didn't call all my witnesses and never met for discovery! I was trying to work two jobs just for attorneys and the ungodly child support ordered! The school has James on honor roll,yet he can't read or write! They took his aide away (funding) ,yet gave her a custodial position. James runs errands for teachers and helps his former aide clean after events at the school! I had stayed in a marriage that was abusive in many areas, but my son should not have to pay! James has been paddled (bruised) he says his Dad is smoking and takes him around it all the time,cigars (pot) MY ex admits to brushing his teeth in the shower, I know that is wrong, because James is extremely tactile defensive and we have to take him to ACH,in Little Rock for dental and most other issues. He says his dad smells his privates! James was so upset and showed unusual behavior, I 've taken him to the ER. Every investigation was a joke! I bet if their child, they would be mad furious at the very people that are to protect! MY boy deserves his voice to be heard! All my ex and attorneys cared about was Money! My ex's lawyer has been disbarred due to unethical conduct! They had no reason to take my boy and put him with a known criminal that had no job! It's took my life and has broken my heart! I pray everyday for bubbys safety.My ex lets him watch wrestling and no homework! This is only a brief, the other things that have happened would make you wonder if we have a judicial system in America at all? We need your help, I love my son beyond words! His smile is what makes me keep trying! I promised I would never give up, and this Angel, who is patient and kind needs Justice! Arkansas laws took a beautiful child and left him with a family of felons!
