The system is too far corrupted! I'm sick of these Prosecution Teams corrupt Detectives all these to protect & serve employees that us taxpayers pay their salary always trying to score brownie points & raises with our children lives! Let's start holding them accountable ! Ok who's willing to give 9 yrs of their life for the 9 they have taken from this child. He missed his childhood graduation family many of life's opportunities due to the corrupted detectives & prosecution team!

Why on earth are we treating our children like this?

Now that I know about Davontae I will never forget him and never stop doing what I can to raise awareness of this incredible injustice. We'll work together and get him freed.

The injustices done to this boy should be criminal and anyone who perpetuates it should have to spend two days in prison for every day Davontae Sanford has had to. It's disgusting that the legal system can lock up innocent children just to get a win or close a case. It's even more deplorable that they get away with it scott free. Give Davontae the chance at life that you stole from him.

My late Dad, a proud Michigander born in Mt. Clemens, would be both outraged and heartsick at this rank injustice and mistreatment of a vulnerable person.

Davontae tested negative for gunshot residue; he misidentified the weapons used. Smothers' confession led to the recovery of one of the weapons used.

I believe children can say things to please authority. This seems to be a case. Please release this young man.

What good is Michigan Attorney General Bill Shuett's "Conviction Integrity Unit" if he can't straighten out such a straightforward matter?

At what point do we as a society fight for those who can't defend themselves? In what world is it acceptable to pin four homicides on a disabled child in order to protect a corrupt system? This is not just a fight for this innocent man's freedom, this is a fight for the future Davontae Sanfords inside and outside of our Detroit city limits. The most disturbing fact is that one woman who knows this man is innocent refuses to free him. She has a confession from the actual killer but it's evident she has to protect her own. The blood ultimately lies on the hands of her people. Continue to pray for all of the innocent children of the world who fall victim to the devil. The only thing I'm certain of is all those who have persecuted God's children will feel the wrath of the Lord. The fight is not over, keep faith and walk in the path of the righteous. Davontae will see his day of freedom just as those who wrongfully persecuted him will be judged by the Most high.

Why is it so hard for some sense of fairness to be achieved in this justice system? How many lives have to be destroyed before it is realized that mass incarceration doesn't work? Or is it a matter of which lives are incarcerated before those in power start giving a damn?
