It's really inconvenient living just beside the construction site. You cannot open room window because of noise, especially the weather is getting warmer and warmer. And also the hot water and heating problem.

Due to construction works it is impossible to have windows open; too much noise and dust comes in the room, which is unbearable! Accommodation managers are always polite and express understanding of the situation, but unfortunately nothing has been done to help and resolve this issue. They just suggested waiting until the workers finish fixing everything in their own timing.

Construction sounds haven't stoped the whole year (only in December). However it was somewhat understandable due to the university's need to finish holyrood builing and the workd began 8am and end 6pm. Yet, two weeks ago another noise has made the entire day of those who live hear unbearable. There is a hole in the road that has been covered with an structure that sounds EVERY time a car passes by. Now the noises are 24/7, it is a lack of respect and consideratipn for all the people who lives here. I truly hope something is done about it

The kitchen appliances such as the toaster and the kettle have poor quality because they were out of order within one year use! Also, the water heater doesn't work in the middle of night, which bothers me very much when I take a shower at that time.

My experience with the department has been appalling. The department staff is condescending and refuses to take ownership of their continued failure to honour the housing contract.
