I feel absolutely heart-broken in that Harambe was killed even though he had not harmed the child and actually appears to be standing guard over him. The head honcho at the zoo is defending the decision to shoot and kill Harambe, not tranquilize him, but then he would as he's just another gun-toting American, not far removed from the days of the Wild West. The motto seems to be 'shoot first, then ask questions afterwards as to whether it was justified or not.'. But it WASN'T! Harambe had not harmed the child or done anything wrong. Heartbreaking and just WRONG!

Harambe's only crime was to be caged and imprisoned then blasted. after seventeen years.
He was a curious gentle soul who only showed affection and offered protection to the boy (unlike his own mother) . She was informed by her son that he wanted to go into the gorillas enclosuse. She left the child to his own devises 3 yeas og age! Harambe was murdered because of greed, arrogance stupidity and negligence. Then comes into the legal legalistics who was going to sue who?
An innocent animal paid the heavy price with his life. All zoos should be closed they are meant to be protecting the animals as they owe a 'duty of care' to them. RIP Harambe you are now free from your chains!

Who the hell takes a small child to a zoo and doesn't watch it? Even Jane Goodall said she did not think Harambe would have hurt the child.
How terribly sad this beautiful creature of god had to die because the mother was negligent. the parents should be charged with child endangerment and animal abuse.

I think Harambe had more intelligence than the parent. He appeared to be protecting the child. More than I can say for the mother. Do we know what would have happened if he were not killed? No, but we all know that it didn't have to happen at all.

These People MUST BE PUNISHED !!! They are unable to take care of children and therefore Harambe was killed . Harambe was only taking care , didn´t hurt the boy . The zoo is responsible for the animals . They live like objects in a prison ....and these zoo is not able to do something else like killing . If they take care , they must think about a situation like happened and than there are other possibilities . I´m a vet I know there are .....Poor Harambe unable zoo stupid people

Should never of happened. Parents need to be held accountable for this. If they had been watching their child this could have been avoided

The Mother & Father of the little boy do not look nor sounded too concerned over their child's safety, even once he had fallen in the Gorilla's moat, maybe they enjoy all the pictures & fame, some fame????? At what cost?????
