I purchased a precious Australian Shepherd from Andrea two years ago and thankfully he is in great health and is happy in his forever home. I cannot believe what has been done to so many precious and helpless animals by this woman and her partner and I hope that charges are brought up against her! Justice needs to be served!

This new is sickening. I got an aussie puppy from her in 2019. I love my girl and she is my biggest blessing. Things seemed so normal until we finally went to pick up my girl. Things were such a mess, there were different dogs everywhere, the smell was insane, and there were so many unsafe things for all these animals to get into. She didn't even give me the dog I had drove up there for at first, insisting it was her. Though when I pulled up the photos it turned out she had been mixing their names up? My girl was sweet as ever and of course I left with her, though she was filthy with urine, and that night we also discovered she had a cough and was very underweight. Andrea offered to take her back for a refund, but we didn't feel right with that either. Andrea then promised vet reimbursements which she tried to then get out of forever, said it was in the mail, said it'd be when she got paid, whatever. We didn't end up getting anything until we suggested legal matters. I hope these babies get the justice they deserve.

We adopted one of the rescued Bernese and have years of experience with this breed. This is the most broken dog we've even encountered. She is so sweet but we'll have to work with her for probably no less than a year to get her back to not being afraid of absolutely everything. Heartbreaking. These cruel, evil ppl need to be fined and jailed.

This is disgusting! I'm so sorry that I did not do something 2 years ago. We got our Aussie 12/11/18, after losing our 2 dogs weeks before. The website looked great, she said we would have to wear long pants, closed shoes and would have to wash our shoes before seeing the puppies.
The night before, I emailed Andrea, to let her know what time we would be there to pick up our red tri aussie and she informed me that she gave that puppy to a little girl. I was devastated! She showed me a picture of a black tri Aussie, so we went down to see her. I had a bad feeling when we arrived. There were cages on top of cages with kittens, along with maybe 8 rooms full off puppies. There were German Shepard, Australian Shepard and Bernese Mountain puppies.
She took us to the room, which had cedar chips all over and the puppies in their urine and feces. Mom was not with the puppies and they were 11 weeks old, which I thought was odd. I asked to see the parents and she had to go to another party of the barn. The adult dogs were in kennels too. I'm just sick to my stomach that I did not pursue.
Our puppy was sick with diarrhea too, worms and something else. We had a lot of medical expenses right off the bat. When I informed Andrea, she said to send her copies of the bill and she would reimburse. We never saw a penny. When we brought our puppy, she was filthy. We drove the 4 hours home and went straight to our vet to get her checked over. The first few months were rough but she is a sweet dog. She has such a sweet personality, great with people, our grandkids and other dogs.
These people need to pay for what they did to these poor innocent animals. Taking her license away and the dogs with no fees or jail time. Unacceptably!

I got our Aussie puppy from them in June 2019 also, and he also had a TON of worm / stomach issues for 6-12 months after we got him, it took 10 vet visits to get it under control. We had genetic testing done because he is HUGE (almost 100 lbs which is huge for an Aussie) and it turned out he wasn’t a full bred Aussie (he’s part Bernese Mountain Dog!) However, he’s the best dog I’ve ever had and is so great with people and strangers and other dogs, but he still has so much tummy trouble even now I have to have him on a special diet which makes me think it’s from the worms and issues from his environment as a puppy. It breaks my heart to learn about this from them. I too should have known something was up when she wouldn’t let me come to their place to get him and insisted we meet in a parking lot off the highway!

I am so sad to hear about this! We got our Aussie from them back in June 2019. He is a wonderful dog, so great with other people and strangers and animals and so well behaved. That said, I knew something was up when she insisted to meet us in a parking lot to get him, versus going to their place — and then when we found out through genetic testing that he isn’t a full Aussie, and is actually Bernese mountain dog / Aussie. I love the dog we got from them, he’s the best dog I’ve ever had, but it BREAKS my heart to think of him in that condition. While I feel grateful to have him, I've signed this petition because it makes me so sad to think or him or any dog in any kind of condition as described in this petition. I’ve gotten many dogs from shelters, but the few I got from other breeders it was a nice environment or farm with a family with great conditions for the dogs/puppies, and for some reason I assumed it was the same for my Aussie I got from Hapke. I’m so sad to learn it wasn’t.

We got our Aussie from them in March this year and am truly heartbroken about the news. We should have known something was up when they were the only breeder that was willing to deliver the dog to us whereas other legitimate breeders insisted we come to them. Our Aussie still has issues with strangers and used to have frequent worm issues when we initially got her which now makes a lot more sense... I'm grateful that we were able to save one, but can't imagine all the other animals that had to live through their filth. They need to be prosecuted and never be allowed to care for other animals again!

I am currently fostering one of the dogs victimized by these people. It is nothing short of felony animal cruelty for what Hapke did to these animals. Justice is deserved. Don’t settle for lazy prosecution

So I drove seven hours to pick up a female puppy that was supposed to be AKC registered. No papers. Took four shampoos to get the puppy clean. Covered in filth. Ended up in court to get the papers. What a mess!
