Mykel has been unwavering in her commitment to having her family reunited. Bring her children home.

I’ve been fighting to bring my children home for almost five years. This journey has been incredibly painful, battling depression from being separated from them. I’ve completed every service asked of me, passed all evaluations, and continue to work with my therapist, who has no concerns and supports reunification. When I ask why they’re still pushing for legal screening, they simply say, ‘because of the time.’ But the reality is, my children have suffered in DCFS care—my daughter has even faced abuse in foster homes. My children openly express their desire to come home; they cry and beg for it. Please help us bring an end to this fight and reunite our family.

Lakeith Ray is my oldest grandson, as a 76 yr old grandmother, whom has been in the lives of this family has never ever witnessed any form of abuse or neglect of their children. The boys are very happy and cheerful when they are in our presence. As a professional property manager for over 30 years and interacting with many many families from all walks of life, economically and socially of which my grandson and his family mirrored.

Accountability

It is long past the time to rein in the power of DCFS and demand accountability. Their budget is based on how big their caseload is so there is, therefore no initiative to lower the caseload. It is time for change.
