Office of the Prosecutor County of Camden 25 N. Fifth Street Camden, NJ 08102 Lauren Wojick & Joshua Ottenberg When we first met to discuss the charges and sentences on June 6th 2012, you stated you would be offering a 7 year plea deal to the defendant. We expressed our unhappiness at such a short sentence for a very serious crime however you made it clear this was the law and best way to ensure jail time. Not only did you assure us you would not further bend in that plea offering, you emphasized you would not allow the defendant to get away with causing the death of Edwin N. Cardona, III. We left there certain that our state assigned prosecutors were going to fight for justice on our behalf. At our next meeting on December 4th 2012, you stated the defendant has not accepted the plea and you would like to offer a new deal of 4 years with the unbelievable possibility of the defendant serving 18 months. This is unacceptable. In 5 months your determination and dedication has diminished to a near defeatist state. Ours has only grown stronger. We heard you and in response, now hear us. We implore you to not offer the defendant another much lesser plea deal. You’ve already let us know there is more than enough evidence for a conviction. We need you dutifully see this through even if that means going to trial. Thank you, Lissette Rossi & the family and friends of Edwin N. Cardona, III

This is so sad of the justice system if a prosecutor can straight up lie to a family that has had someone murdered just cause he was here illegally I'm thinking he needs to be fired and charged himself for the crime. Murder is murder prison or put to death for his crime.

This family deserves straight answers and actual justice not some weak deal cut behind their backs.

18 months for taking a life is a joke. Camden needs to do better than this.

Ridiculous. If they have the evidence then take it to court. Stop letting these people walk.
