It's truly a shame that the elected leaders of Boone County need to be coerced into seeking justice for one of our residents... especially considering that many friends and family members have been relying on them to do so for half a decade.

The justice system has dropped the ball on this one. But it honestly doesn’t surprise me. My family was also wronged for four years after my cousin was shot and killed by her fb. It wasn’t until he confessed that he was finally arrested. I hope this family gets the justice they deserve!

I was a Boone county resident at the time of this incident and attended Zionsville public schools 1-12th grade - graduating a year ahead of James Dupler. This case deserves more than an update online that it’s being dropped. If the Kaplans are guilty or innocent I strongly feel this must be determined in court, not quietly behind closed doors.
