The police lock everybody else up for dumb pety stuff and courts give u a decade for crimes less serious than this. They should have took him jail the first time.

So in Lexington you can go to jail for driving on a suspended license, but with a domestic assault a "let's wait & see what happens" attitude was taken!? This monster has a history of abusing women & the PD knows this! Debbie was a sweet & kind woman - she didn't deserve to die like this!

I think the police dept should have made him leave that house or arrested him the first time they were called ...Had they done that She might still be alive ... this is so sad

Debbie I am so sorry you had to die like this, you were a beautiful person and I'm glad you were apart of my family, you rest now but know justice will be fought for you. Mark needs life in prison for what he's done to you and we will see that he is punished for life, he has no right to take your life but God got him for sure. RIP now sister-in-law.

Everyone knows on a domestic call to separate the parties involved! The man and the police need to be charged with this!

What could have possessed someone to give a charge but not arrest and give a temporary protection order in this situation is obviously beyond all of our comprehension. The place I was proud to call home has failed this precious woman and I am shocked and saddened. How many families have been affected by negligence like this or overkill in things not nearly as dangerous to the community? How can you took an oath to protect and serve, and miss the plea for help in her eyes when you left that monster with her? That is something they will have to live with the rest of their lives. Any person that has dealt with domestic abuse knows the silent requests for help. I pray for peace and comfort for the families involved, and I sincerely hope if the priority is not 100% committed to standing behind the oath taken, they find something else immediately.
