This petition as been put together to ask Ron Hogg The Crime Commissioner, to intervene in the case of Danny Wake because we believe that there has been serious leads that have been given to the police & we feel that these leads have not been acted upon or followed up.
3 yr Danny Wake was tragically knocked over and killed near Falmer Road/ Neasham Road in Darlington on the 4th November 2013 at 10.35am.
Little Danny was knocked over and killed by a suspected hit & run driver, of whom still has not come forward.
The police have had a few leads of which they have not acted upon, and have also stated that this case is not a crime.
The people of Darlington & various others areas feel the need to do a petition because we and Danny's family feel that the police have done nothing to try and find the person/s responsible who took little Danny's life & we need help to try and find someone who will take this case more seriously.

my own daughter was knocked down and badly injured in a hot and run, thankfully she is getting better and they got the scum that done it. I hope they find the 'person' who done this. How is this not a crime!!!
how can a hit and run not be a crime. all the family want is justice and rightly so. how can they grieve properly knowing someone out there has killed thier baby. and could do this again to someone elses child. or famiky member.
police need to doing their jobs and find this person instead of not following the leads they been given. They get paid to catch criminals so go find the bastard that done this cos if others find the person first police wud sharp be there to lock them up for doing the person in.
please somebody come forward if it was one of your family members im pretty sure you would be asking the same thing grow a pair of balls and own up so dannys parents can get closure and also the justice that needs to be served thankyou
Driver has to be caught they have had all the time in the world to come forward. This person was sitting on Christmas Day opening presents poor Danny never got to see his. I live in Motherwell in Scotland and followed this from the start and it touches my heart dearly.

Danny deserves justice, its his human right, and his life was taken, too much time has lapsed and they should be told to act until justice for his family has been found, and they can grieve properly but instead they are prolonging the familys grief, its morally and legally wrong.
