This is complete nonsense!! Gates should be ashamed!! I am a long time resident and former Gates alumni, and I’m embarrassed to say I I’m apart of this district. My child is a middle schooler and plays basketball and was looking forward to playing with coach Terry!! We will probably be leaving the school district, because I do not want to be affiliated with this school.

As a GC graduate and former athlete I fully support Coach Nowden and the job him and the entire staff have done over the years. Each and every one of them are dedicated more than the staffs in years past. They've had great success on the court but more importantly more success off the court in raising solid young men. The young men in the district need role models like this staff. Reinstate the staff and allow them to continue restoring the Spartan Way.

This is a HORRIBLE decision to fire Coach T and his entire staff for an off season event! This wasn’t a coach and athletes but more of a bunch of friends gathering at a NON GATES CHILI FUNCTION EVENT! We have come a long way as a program under his tutelage and this how he is treated? Right the wrong!!!

Guys like Terry are few and far between. He is a strong leader who works hard to build the youth in our community. The Community will stand behind Terry because Terry stands behind his community!

Coach Terry has made a HUGE difference in the kids lives & has given personal mentoring to make these kids get through trails both personal & school. He is not just about b-ball. He is invested in the kids. Believing in them & making them believe in themselves! Please investigate ALL the facts. Then decide. He does need to or deserve to be fired !!!!!!!!

This man taught me so many things AS A MAN. It’s much more to it than basketball not only is he a great role model but the best coach i ever had experience with and in section V. Not only does coach T not deserve but we don’t deserve this as community

he shouldn’t be fired for something many adults do and one mistake he should be forgiven for. he has changed the basketball program of gates and it will not be the same without him and the rest of the coach’s.
