This makes me so angry that this happened. The people that shot him are ignorant and need to be held accountable for their actions. I cannot believe that they shot him for absolutely no reason.

visited the preserve this weekend and was so angry to learn that Chaco was killed for absolutely no reason. The agents with FWC need to be held accountable for this horrible act. They knew he was tame and should have allowed Cynthia to be present for the entire process. The process that should have returned him safely to Seacrest. Now he has a mate mourning his death and a pup left behind without its alpha male to learn from.

i had the privilege of interacting with Shawanee, one of the wolves at Seacrest and know first hand how these wolves are handled. the killing of this wolf was an unnessary cowardly act by the FWC.

Why is it that people with a little authority are killing animals just to be killing? If they are scared of their own shadow then they need to get in another line of work , away from living creatures.

Perhaps it is time to start hiring people with compassion for animals when it comes to animal control positions in the state as opposed to those who are aggressive and not bright enough to make it onto the police force.
