This was one of the most upsetting story I have ever read. This was totally uncalled for. Chaco was intentionally shot by what I thought were the very people that are to protect wildlife..It was beyond inhumane and completely uncalled for. Thank God his one single offspring will carry on his legacy.

I am another of the many who donate time, effort, money, and heart to Seacrest. These magnificient animals, who have a structured and intelligent a social life as humans are in no way, under any circumstances, a threat to humans. Chaco was a new father, traumaticly shorn from a brand new pup, and from his mate, and was simply trying to find his way home... Imagine if we brutally murdered every person who became seperated during a natural disaster, and was simply trying to find their way home.......

This was senseless since a black bear in St. Andrews residence tree has been traquilized on several occasions and taken back to the same location. I might add this bear is wild with no human interaction.

Chaco was a beautiful British Columbian who died for no reason. Karma will hit FWC, but for now, RIP sweet wolf.

This is Horrible !!!!!!!! I will post this on ALL the sites I can. I had a Red wolf when I was 13-14 years old. He was AMAZING. I to him to the daycare behind my pasture for visits with the kids & to Elementary schools with over 1000+ kids petting him at once. "Wolf" was my heart & I was his. He would have protected me with his life and I would have done the same. This is unforgivable, as a Cherokee Native these animals are sacred & what they did was assault the very core of who & what I am. He was not an animal he was a wise, kind, & gentle soul. With more right to live then those that took his life just for the power trip it gave them. If you need any assistance on what that Nobel animal meant to the Cherokees as a sacred & wise spirit you let me know. This was an assault on every Native American in this Nation & you better believe we will take down the disgraceful, disrespectful, and evil perpetrators that committed this horrible atrocity.

This kind of behavior and logic can only come from backwoods, sub-human hicks that are so fearful that they purposely slaughter a frightened, exhausted and weak 80lb animal. To kill a creature that has educating people from all over the States, lives with human contact (daily) is the cruelest and inhumane way to operate FL Fish and Game Service. They disgust me and I hope these liars will receive the Karma they all deserve. They ALL need to be held liable and they all need to be gone! I hope to hear that these useless, cruel, pathetic people that call themselves "animal lovers" are fired and imprisoned.
