Animals that kill have no place in the public. Whether it is a Lion or a Dog. Simple.

I can't believe that you do not treat the dog that killed Buttons as a dangerous dog. I just hope that a young child is not the next victim.

people have to be accountable for their pets. If you have a large breed dog that has potential to be aggressive you have to be one step ahead of it. It's bad enough that it was a smaller dog that was attacked but what if it had been a child? I can't imagine how I would feel if my dog did that to someone else. Think people!!

such a tragic loss of a little dog, that brought joy to others. Dangerous dogs should not be out in public, without a muzzle, and the owner should do the responsible thing, it could have been a child, bad enough it was someones pet.

Buttons was our dog. We are devastated. He was our the joy of our life. There will be a rally starting at 6:30 at the McDonalds in Pitt Meadows and from there we will be going to city hall. John & I will be attending the council meeting on Tuesday Oct 6th. The laws need to be changed and dog owners need to be accountable for their dogs. We would love your support. We have had great support from friends and the community and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

All powerful breeds should be licensed after a handling course is taken by owners.

Need owner accountability for all breeds of dogs that bite.

Accountability is needed here. If there was already a muzzle order on record the owners should still be accountble. Using the excuse that someone else was walking the dog and took the muzzle off is not a reason for escaping punishment. The person walking the dog should of been aware of the order and should of been able to control the animal at all times.

What are we waiting for? This dog has killed another harmless dog - does it have to kill a small child before we remove it from society??

Talking a mussel and lease of a dangerous dog in a public place is just common sense not to . If these individuals didn't have the sense to know this they should not own a dog. People need to be accountable

I find it unbelievable that two strikes is not enough for the City of Pitt Meadows to deal with this dog.

Follow up action needs to happen from City Hall!

I wish I was in town for this. It is time we stand up for our "pets" and stop the bullying of dangerous animals overtaking our precious ones. We need a change... we should not stop until we get it.

I'm happy to be the first to sign. We will take this to the City of Pitt Meadows and ask for a change!
