Let it be formally known that this petition originated with the online comics/sci-fi/fantasy/anime group, The Lightning Lair and that Tony Isabella had no knowledge or affiliation with the start of our group, this petition or subsequent action(s).

We, the undersigned fans of Black Lightning, formally request that the management of DC Comics and DC Entertainment to do the following:

1. In all venues, products and platforms recognize Tony Isabella as the creator of Black Lightning/Jefferson Pierce and Trevor Von Eeden as the original artist.
2. To list in all products, venues, platforms and publicity: "Black Lightning was created by Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eeden."
3. As Black Lightning has more than proven his popularity and longevity in the marketplace, we want Black Lightning to have his own book. Black Lightning has more than proven his worth as a lead character- and to put him as a 2nd tier character is an insult to him and totally diminishes his credibility as a leader and a hero.
4. Mr. Isabella should be a part of any and all teams assigned to write to handle the Black Lightning character and his stories.
5. Lastly, we also ask that DC further demonstrate its commitment to diversity by not only including non-traditional peoples as heroes in stories, but to actually have these people tell their own stories whenever possible (I.e. people of color, various sexual and/or gender identities, and various ethnicities).
